Scott Seaton is the second of fie candidates to succeed Maestro Alfred Savia as music director and conductor of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Nashville native is presently music director for two separate orchestras out west.
He comes to Evansville impressed with the reputation for excellence exuded by the EPO.
Coming here would also bring him closer to home, as he is a native of Nashville TN and still has family and friends there.
Seaton visited with the WIKY Morning show hosts Dennis Jon Bailey and Diane Douglas this morning before granting an interview to WIKY News.
He rehearses with the orchestra Thursday night and will be at the baton Saturday night for the orchestra’s concert at the Victory Theater.
