In challenging times, a loving neighbor can make all the difference. Social distancing, job loss, isolation, and stay-at-home orders due to the COVID-19 Pandemic have put families and individuals in one of the most challenging moments in recent history.
The Need A Neighbor initiative matches a person with a need to a person who wants to meet a need. Need a neighbor? Be a neighbor.
If you are a neighbor who needs a meal or groceries, essential supplies, would like prayer or a friendly phone call, or need a referral for financial assistance related to the current health crisis, go to www.needaneighbor.org and share your need. Once a need is shared on the website, a volunteer neighbor can choose to meet that need.
You can also submit a need on behalf of a family member or neighbor who may not know about Need A Neighbor or who may be unable to fill out the form.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Needs and personal information submitted through the website will be available only to volunteers approved by local churches, who will then be able to respond to those needs directly. Need A Neighbor cannot guarantee every need will be met or how quickly it will be met.
If your church is not yet participating in the Need a Neighbor outreach and would like to, go to www.needaneighbor.org and scroll to the bottom to learn more about joining the neighboring movement.
Need a Neighbor provides an opportunity for the Church in Greater Evansville to love and serve neighbors during the COVID-19 Pandemic. It was developed by Community One (www.community1.org) with support from For Evansville (www.forevansville.org).
