The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office says a mother and two children are dead in a fiery collision at 41 and Covert Monday afternoon.
Evansville police say their SUV was stopped or slowing down when a pick-up truck driven by 42 year old Damon Busby slammed into it from behind at very high speed.
Both vehicles burst into flame.
Other drivers got Busby out but were unable to rescue the three people in the SUV.
Highway 41 between Covert and Riverside was closed for hours.
Damon Busby faces three counts of reckless homicide.
