Local and federal authorities arrest an Evansville man on warrant in a six year old murder.
An Illinois grand jury last month indicted 24 year old Brody Murbarger in connection with the disappearance and murder of Megan Nichols.
She disappeared from her Wayne County Illinois home in 2014, leaving behind a run-away note sying she could never be happy at home.
She also left behind her cell phone, which had been wiped clean.
Her remains were found in rural a Wayne County Illinois farm field in December of 2017, and identified in January 2018. in 2018.
A search war rant was executed at Murbarger’s home, and he was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he awaits extradition back to Illinois.
