A viral TikTok video shows a Texas Walmart employee launching into a blistering tirade against her allegedly racist, sexist co-workers and quitting her job over the store’s loudspeaker. That video has now gone viral and garnered over 3.7 million views in just 48 hours.
Shana Ragland was fed up with the way she was being treated at her workplace and uploaded the video of her minute-long address to Twitter and TikTok over the weekend. Until this weekend, she worked in Walmart’s Cap 2 department, which involves unloading and organizing freight and stocking merchandise. However, it appears she wasn’t at all that happy with what was going on around her.
Ragland capped her goodbye message in the most cathartic way possible, by telling her bosses off with a lot of profanity. Other people that were in the store had also posted videos of what they heard in the store. People on social media threw their support behind her as well. Ragland, for her part, has been taking the newfound attention in stride and is happy to shed light on some of the company’s indiscretions.
