There’s a debate going viral right now about how you should stand in the shower.
A woman named Alice set it off by tweeting, quote, “It’s normal to shower with your back to the shower, right? Not facing the water?”
Help me settle a debate. It’s normal to shower with your back to the shower right? Not facing the water?

The responses are all over the place. Some people say yes, they keep their back to the water. Some people face the water. And some switch it up during the shower.
Totally normal – why would you want it in your face while you’re trying to soap up? You turn around to rinse off.

I rotate! Back to the water to do my hair, front to the water otherwise

I am SHOCKED. I just assumed EVERYONE faced the water. Back to the shower is for hangover recovery only, usually breathing deeply and steadying yourself against the wall, praying you’re not pushing sick down the plug hole before the time’s up.

I can't do either…I have to take hose off and move over me I can't handle water just falling from above into me. I'm a freak

I do both. Facing when washing front, not facing when washing the back. Side on for each side.
Like a watery rotisserie.
