A bipartisan criminal justice reform bill is headed to the Indiana senate after being passed by the House.
The bill, if it becomes law, would create a special board to decertify police officers for official misconduct.
It would also provide penalties for officers who switch of their body cameras, and mandate de-escalation training for officers, while also banning chokeholds.
The measure has more than 80 sponsors from both parties.
