15 people have been indicted by a federal Grand Jury in Kentucky for engaging in a conspiracy to distribute large quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl in the Owensboro-Daviess County area.
Among the items seized during the investigation were
*238 pounds of methamphetamine,
*4.5 pounds of fentanyl pills,
*81 pounds of marijuana,
*23 firearms including assault rifles with high capacity magazines,
*$350,000 cash, and six vehicles.
In all, 28 people are facing federal or state drug charges.
Daviess County Sheriff Keith Cain describes it as “a major narcotics criminal enterprise operating in the Owensboro-Daviess County area,” adding that more charges may be forthcoming.
