A fire that caused $2.5 million dollars worth of damage on Patoka Lake in February was likely caused by an electrical malfunction.
The fire spread and destroyed a total of 22 boats.
The owners of the marina rushed to try to clear other boats to prevent the fire from spreading.
Everyone in the incident was able to get out of the boats safely.
Schnellville and Duboi’s Fire Department also assisted in stopping the fire
