Evansville and Newburgh are rolling out the welcome mat for Afghan refugees.
As of yesterday (Thurs) the God is Good foundation is expecting between one and three Afghan families to arrive in Evansville.
The foundation is trying to find places for the refugee to live as well as assembling furnishings and food for them.
The group’s director, Barbara Bias, says community support for the new arrivals will be vitally important.
