A case of avian flu was detected in chickens near the Kentucky and Tennessee border.
Federal and state authorities say another suspected case in Webster County is waiting final lab confirmation.
Although, this type of flu is normally lethal for domesticated chickens and turkeys, it does not present a food risk to humans.
Last week avian flu was detected on a turkey farm in Dubois County Indiana.
It was the first case in a commercial flock in the United States since 2020.
