Around 12:45 this morning a woman called 911 and whispered help, then hung up.
Evansville police arrived on scene at 19 W. Franklin Street around 1 to set up perimeters.
Police say, they were there to serve an arrest warrant to at least two people.
The stand off lasted around four hours before they gained entry, by throwing flash bangs into a window.
A man and woman were put into cuffs and taken to jail.
