Families with loved ones with autism can rest a little easier since the initiation of the “Keep Me Safe Registry”.
The Evansville Police Department says you should think about signing up if your family member would be vulnerable in a situation that would effect their sensory, movement or communication challenges.
EPD says those that register will receive a decal that has information for first responders that would help in an incident.
These decals can be put on cars and homes.
Dispatch will have all of the information stored.
