The Kentucky parole board says the man who killed three fellow students when he was 14 will spend the rest of his life in prison.
39 year old Michael Carneal has no further opportunity to petition for parole.
Carneal used a stolen pistol to fire into a crowded lobby at Heath High School in 1997.
Last week, Carnel asked the board to grant him parole, saying he would live with his parents and continue treatment if his release was granted.
He admitted, though, that he still hears the voices he says that told him to do the shooting.
The board voted 7-0 Monday to deny parole.
