The boyfriend of an Evansville mother has been charged with murder in the death of her 18 month old son.
She told police that 21 year old Tavion Cobb was watching the toddler on Monday, which is something he did often.
Tuesday morning, Cobb informed the mother of an incident that happened causing injury to the toddler.
Not long after their conversation, the child was returned to her unresponsive.
She brought her son to the hospital where staff attempted life saving measures, but were not successful.
The child suffered severe injuries allegedly while under Cobb’s care.
He was arrested and booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail.
