Henderson Fire Chief Scott Foreman has decided to retire after 28 years with the department.
Nick Mangarella, a 12 year veteran was appointed as the new fire chief on Monday.
Mangarella began his fire service career in New Jersey in 1998.
Since joining the Henderson Fire Department in 2011 he has held the positions as firefighter, engineer and lieutenant.
Chief Mangarella resides in Henderson with his family.
