More than a decade after his crime, a convicted murderer has returned to Vanderburgh County.
Pharoah Newton was 17 when he stabbed and killed 79 year old Frances Wolf in October of 2010.
He was living in Wolf’s basement apartment at the time, and was arrested at his mother’s southern-Illinois home a week after the murder.
He was sentenced to 60 years in prison with parole possible after 30 years.
Now 29, he’s back in Vanderburgh County for a conviction relief hearing today.
