An Evansville man was arrested over the weekend for using the ID of a man who passed away in 2019.
49-year-old Ronald Ward Jr. was pulled over at a gas station on Heidelbach Avenue.
He gave the officer a driver’s license that belonged to Douglas Williams.
When asked why he gave a fake name, Ward Said, “I just had it in my pocket and pulled it out. I was just messin’ with ya, I figured you knew who I was.”
He handed over his actual ID and admitted that it was suspended 20 years ago.
Ward was arrested on several charges and is still locked up on a $3,000 bond.
