Two Local Schools Honored As National Blue Ribbon Schools

The U-S Department of Education recognizes two tri-state schools as National Blue Ribbon Schools.

Among hundreds of schools honored around the nation, Oak Hill Elementary in Evansville, and Saint Wendell Catholic School in Posey County took the honors.

Both schools made unsuccessful applications for a National Blue Ribbon honor in the past.

Leaders say now, having won, it’s been worth the wait.

The awards ceremony is in Washington D.C. in November.
