Warrick Humane Society is excited to announce its Annual Friendsgiving Foster Event, a
heartwarming opportunity for families to give a rescue dog something extra special to be thankful for this
holiday season. The event invites community members to bring home a shelter dog for Thanksgiving, offering
them a much-needed break from the kennel and a chance to experience comfort, companionship, and love.
Participants may pick up a foster dog on Tuesday, November 25 from 12pm to 4pm or Wednesday,
November 26 from 12pm to 7pm. Dogs may be returned—or officially adopted—between Friday, November
28 and Sunday, November 30 from 12pm to 3pm. Foster selection is first come, first serve and applies to all
available dogs and puppies 4 months and older who are up to date on veterinary care.
To help families prepare, Warrick Humane Society encourages all participants to complete an adoption
application before arriving and list “Friendsgiving” as the pet name. Applications can be submitted online at
warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption. Should a family fall in love with their foster dog, adoption fees will be
discounted by 25 percent.
All proceeds and participation in Friendsgiving directly support Warrick Humane Society’s mission to rescue,
rehabilitate, and rehome homeless pets in the community.
