The runway at the Henderson City-County Airport is back in business after being under construction for the past six months.
The project totaled approximately $14 million in federal, state, and local funding.
There has been an upgrade in air flight lighting, and an extension to the runway, which will make the airport more competitive regionally with other communities.
The longer runway will allow the airport to attract businesses that operate larger aircraft, bringing more flight activity.
