Convicted murderer Jeffrey Weisheit was executed at the Indiana State Prison in Michigan City.
The lethal injection started just after midnight, and he was pronounced dead at 12:45.
Weisheit was on death row for killing 8-year-old Alyssa and 5-year-old Caleb Lynch by tying them up and setting their home on fire in 2010.
His attorneys made one last attempt to delay his execution, asking the governor to investigate the lethal drugs purchased by the state.
He had no final words.
