The Kevin Edward Gentlemen’s Barber Shop just hosted its second free veteran’s haircut day. Stylists at the Old Saybrook, Connecticut, shop gave out free haircuts to support two good causes with their services.
Anyone who’s ever served in the military was given a free haircut and the veterans were encouraged to bring in a non-perishable food item. The food was then donated to the Old Saybrook Food Pantry to stock their shelves. Kevin Shea, who owns the barbershop, says he wanted to do something to give back to the veterans and this is his way to say thank you.
“It shows the integrity of this outfit,” explains customer Michael Dallas, an Air Force veteran. “It just shows you where their heart is.”
