Police in Henderson think a shooting at a banquet facility that killed one teen and hurt two others was gang related.
Major Jason Hargitt says the suspect, 18 year old Japaris Baker, is claiming to belong to a Henderson gang.
Baker is accused of two assaults, and the murder of 18 year old JaiWaun Wadington.
Lead detective Shannon Troutman says other people there may have been armed…
But he’s convinced that Baker fired the shots that wounded two party-goers and killed Wadington.
He says Baker fired at least seven shots into the crowd as they left the banquet facility after a music release party.
Troutman says he doesn’t belive that the victims were specifically targeted.
