For Monday’s WABX Triple Play, we will feature Robert Palmer.
Robert Palmer was cool. Old school cool. We lost this cat way too young. Only 54, of a sudden heart attack. Palmer was a smoker, about 3 packs a day. We can only speculate what music Robert would have brought us in the last 18 years since he’s been gone.
Robert Palmer and the New Orleans tinged work with Little Feat.
Palmer also worked with Chris Frantz of the Talking Head and Gary Numan on Clues.
Then he led a supergroup with members of Duran Duran and Chic and formed The Power Station
But, of course Robert Palmer is probably most notable for helping groups of girls have a cool Halloween costume in the 80’s.
