Speed is believed to be a factor in a Posey County crash that damaged a tavern.
Around 5 a.m. Sunday, sheriff’s deputies were called to Zaps, formerly Weinzapfel Tavern on St. Phillips Road.
A pickup truck went airborne after crossing the railroad tracks. The truck hit an unoccupied vehicle and a utility pole before crashing into the corner of the tavern.
Sheriff Tom Latham says the driver was a juvenile from Evansville. Two other teenagers were riding in the truck as passengers.
Remarkably, no one was hurt.
