The Henderson County Library will break ground this spring on an expansion project.
It will add more than 18,000 square feet to the existing building. Additions include an expanded teen department, quiet study rooms, a tech-friendly “maker-space,” a dedicated computer training lab and group meeting rooms with a catering kitchen.
The library will contribute $2 million towards the project. The remaining $6.4 million will be financed through tax-exempt general bonds.
The project will be complete by the fall or winter of 2020.
