According to almost 100% of parent’s Instagrams, having a kid is the most rewarding thing you could ever do with your life. But according to a new survey, it might not be the happiest thing you can do. You could also not have kids, and be just as happy.
The “child-free” movement is definitely growing. Michigan State University estimates over a quarter of modern adults have no interest in having kids at all. And although they never have the joy of seeing their child graduate or bailing their kid out of jail… the study found that these non-parents are still just as happy and satisfied with their lives.
Here’s another fun fact about these people choosing to spend all their money and time on themselves. The researchers found “child-free individuals are more liberal than parents.” The study also found parents aren’t too “warm” toward child-free individuals. Is it that they can’t believe someone would choose not to have a baby? Or is it jealousy?
