A Beech Creek, Kentucky woman was arrested and charged with an incident that killed a toddler last April.
Kentucky State Police say enough evidence was submitted to the Muhlenberg County Grand Jury to charge Kaitlyn Piper with murder, assault, DUI and being a persistent felony offender.
Piper was heading north when she drifted off the highway and hit a tree near Greens Chapel Road.
According to troopers, no one in the vehicle were properly restrained, resulting in the death of 1 year old Serenity O’Bannon.
Piper is detained at the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
