An Indiana State Police officer was patrolling I-69 near Morgan Avenue around 11:45 Saturday night when he clocked a driver traveling southbound at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle was stopped near Epworth Road and driven by 28 year old Coleman Sheridan of Newburgh.
The trooper says the driver showed signs of impairment and failed sobriety tests.
Coleman’s girlfriend and one year old daughter were in the vehicle along with several open beer cans.
Coleman is being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail without bond.
