Mt. Vernon police warn motorists to pay attention to school busses when kids head back to class — or else.
Beginning Tuesday, Mt. Vernon police will increase patrols looking for stop-arm violations, speeding, and other reckless driving in school zones and around school busses.
In April, thousands of bus drivers participated in one-day observations and counted more than two thousand stop-arm violations.
