Toyota has announced it will assemble an all-new battery electric vehicle as part of a $1.4 billion investment in its Princeton plant.
The new car will be a three-row SUV.
Toyota will build new infrastructure to assemble it along with a new battery pack assembly line using parts coming from Toyota’s North Carolina facility.
Production start is planned for next year.
The new car assembly will take place in a new building and will create about 340 jobs.
