After finalizing the agreement, the Cave-In-Rock Ferry will not have a service disruption this morning.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the Ohio River Ferry Authority agreed to a 13% increase in annual funding.
The contract is now around 1.9 million dollars each year.
Travelers can continue to rely on the Ferry for their journey between Cave-In-Rock, Illinois, and Crittenden County, Kentucky without needing alternate routes.
