A new bill filed in the Indiana General Assembly would allow public schools to deny enrollment to undocumented children.
House Bill 1394, authored by Republican Representative Jim Lucas, would require school districts to report the number of students it believes are undocumented each year.
A group called Exodus Refugee Immigration says the proposal is illegal.
The bill has been filed with the House Education Committee.
