Father Convicted Of Murdering His Child Will Be Sentenced Today

An Evansville man convicted in the death of his child faces sentencing today.

26-year-old Shane Hedrick was convicted last month on charges including neglect and murder.

In January 2024, Hedrick called 9-1-1 reporting his child was not responding.

He admitted to hitting the child who wouldn’t stop crying.

The coroner reported the child died of abusive head trauma.
