Evansville residents could find their pockets a little lighter next year.
The City Council opened discussion on a proposed wheel tax at last night’s meeting.
If passed, the tax would be collected whenever drivers renew their registration.
Most drivers would pay $25 a year.
The money would be used for road work, which has seen state funding cuts.
