An Evansville woman is charged with neglect after her toddler was found alone and crying on someone’s porch.
25-year-old Latizja Cole allegedly dropped the girl off at a relative’s house without telling anyone.
When the child was found, she was dirty and had a full diaper.
The father of the child had recently passed away, and Cole was having a hard time taking care of her.
Police say text messages from Cole to the cousin mentioned hurting the child.
Cole was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on a $750 bond.
