The magic of the holidays returns to southwest Indiana as Christmas in New Harmony fills the historic town with festive spirit December 5–7, 2025. Visitors are invited to stroll the twinkling streets, shop local artisans, enjoy live performances, and make cherished memories in one of Indiana’s most charming destinations.
Presented by One New Harmony, the annual celebration features three days of holiday events, shopping, entertainment, and activities for all ages — plus the return of the beloved Gnome Scavenger Hunt running through December 20.
Festival Highlights
Thursday, Dec. 4 – Saturday, Dec. 20
Gnome Scavenger Hunt – Free!
Search for ten mischievous gnomes hidden in plain sight throughout town. Prizes include $200 for first place and $100 for second. Applications available at Old Mill Mart and Capers Emporium.
Friday, Dec. 5
- 5:30 PM – Tree Lighting Ceremony at the New Harmony Inn, 504 North Street (Free!)
- 6:30 PM – Workingmen’s Institute Christmas Open House, 407 Tavern Street

- 8–10 AM – Breakfast with Santa, Holy Angels Catholic Center, 805 Main St.

Say hello to the new year at New Harmony’s favorite winter party! Enjoy a Cozy Cabin Winter Party theme with flannel shirts, warm soups, breads, pies, live music from The Bros. Lewis Band, and a bar hosted by St. Phillips Inn.
