Four people were jailed after 50 items allegedly stolen from local stores were found in their trunk.
Evansville police stopped the car for speeding on the Lloyd Expressway near the Highway 41 interchange about 8:30 Saturday night.
A passenger, Misty Jones, admitted to a felony warrant.
Matthew Jones, Misty Mitchell, and Kimberly Wisnewski were detained after they permitted a search of the car.
Officers found more than 50 items still with the store security tags.
The items totaled more than $2,000.
