Two people were arrested following a tip regarding several animals living in poor conditions.
Officers say as soon as they went inside the East Franklin Street residence, the smell of feces took their breath away.
Animal Control discovered more than 20 cats, over 10 dogs, 5 ducks, and 4 chickens.
Many of the animals didn’t have clean water or food available to them.
Some of the animals had respiratory issues due to the toxic air.
Joshua and Alee Nelson are both facing 54 counts of animal neglect each.
