Mt. Vernon Police have nabbed a suspect believed to be involved in recent thefts from cars in Posey County.
26-year-old Rayvon Robbins was taken into custody for an unrelated drug possession charge stemming from a traffic stop.
Robbins had been considered a person of interest related to a series of thefts from unlocked vehicles that occurred last month.
Investigators seized his cellular phone and discovered that he was in the area of the thefts during that time.
Robbins is charged with 28 criminal counts.
If convicted, he could spend more than a dozen years in prison and fines of up to $10,000.
