An Owensboro teenager is facing several charges following reports of cars being broken into.
The first arriving officer found two suspects wearing black standing in a driveway, one armed with a rifle.
When an officer confronted them, a third suspect backed out of the driveway, striking the officer’s car before speeding away.
This began a high-speed chase that ended when the driver crashed into a ditch near Apollo High School.
The suspect, 18-year-old Avery Buckner, tried running away but was apprehended.
The two other suspects are still on the run.
