The City of Henderson has initiated a mass foreclosure, its fifth time in almost 10 years.
The current filing includes 20 properties involving a combination of delinquent property taxes and code enforcement liens.
City officials claim that collectively, the properties have around $300,000 in liens and nearly $15,000 in delinquent property taxes.
In the past, Habitat for Humanity has been able to purchase lots for new homes.
This is one way the city has addressed blight and spurred redevelopment.
