Disco balls are serving a unique purpose in downtown Evansville.
You may have noticed them hanging from trees along Main Street.
It’s not just for show.
The reflective glass is being used as a creative and humane way to discourage birds from nesting and leaving bird droppings in high-traffic areas.
It also helps protect the sidewalks.
The city will keep an eye on the area to see if the disco balls help.
