A lawsuit has been dismissed against the city of Evansville after a settlement was reached.
Former Evansville Fire Chief Paul Anslinger filed the lawsuit claiming the city did not pay more than $10,000 in vacation compensation at the time of his retirement.
He also asked for over $20,000 in damages.
Anslinger was arrested in 2024 and charged with firearm theft, two counts of theft of property, and official misconduct.
He is accused of taking tools from the fire department as well as transferring more than $4,000 from the EFD Foundation to his own personal business account.
