United Way of Southwestern Indiana awarded nearly $1 million to local nonprofits addressing mental health issues.
The grantees included Catholic Charities, CAPE, Holly’s House, and Youth First.
Recipients were selected based on their ability to improve access to behavioral health services, mental health education, and skill-building opportunities for low-income households.
Priority was given to programs serving individuals who are uninsured or underinsured in Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Spencer counties.
