Audubon State Park has received over $3 million.
The money will be used to construct a Conference Center, make improvements to the campground, and provide easier road access to the park.
$500,000 will go toward extending the campground and putting in more electrical services for people with large RVs.
Henderson Mayor Brad Staton says the goal is to preserve as much nature as possible throughout the project.
Construction is expected to begin next spring, with the center fully opened by 2029.
