This English prog rock band got their start in the late 60’s. Their album cover art was always pretty sweet. They had Peter Max do the cover art for their 1994 album Talk and that caused a bit of an uproar. Roger Dean did Fragile and other earlier covers for the band. We’ll definitely have to play something from Fragile today!
Today we’re going to play a couple off of 90125. Speaking of album covers, that one was sort of minimalist too. The title, minimalist as well. 90125 is the catalog number.
Album covers aside, Yes also went though members. To celebrate that fact, the Union tour (1991) is celebrating a 30 year anniversary with a special limited edition SUPER DELUXE box set. 30 discs (26 CDs and 4 DVDs) Look for it to be available May 28th.
The Union tour included Jon Anderson, Bill Bruford, Steve Howe, Tony Kaye, Trevor Rabin, Chris Squire, and Rick Wakeman.
