An Evansville law firm, representing the man accused of the shooting at Kentucky State University, says he’s an innocent man.
According to the firm, Jacob Bard had to use deadly force to save the life of his son.
A police escort was provided so that Bard could remove his son’s items from a dorm room.
Bard claims that 20 to 30 people gathered in the lobby to attack his family, and he acted in self-defense.
19-year-old De’Jon Fox Jr. was killed during the alleged attack.
