Inner-city residents living in Henderson will be able to feel safe at home and help solve crimes simultaneously.
The city commission has approved another $5,000 to purchase doorbell cameras.
The Police Department is distributing cameras to homeowners in the East End neighborhood as part of a $1.2 million Inner City Improvement plan aimed at enhancing security.
It’s being called a “digital neighborhood watch”.
This is a volunteer program, and participants can opt in to share footage with HPD if a crime occurs.
